Wheel of fortune

Irrijardin, the French leader in pool equipment, offers a range of products based on 3 water management professions: watering, pools and spas. Its strength? A wide range of in-store products, prices to suit all budgets, and service and advice backed by 27 years of expertise.

Campaign objectives

The “Summer Wheel” game took place during the summer, which corresponds to the end of the season for the group, then focused on the sale of consumables (pool maintenance kits, beach accessories, etc.).

The game had to appeal to the general public (pool owners and mobile vacationers). Irrijardin has set itself objectives, supported by the competition, based on two concepts, brand awareness and impulse buying:

 

  • The prizes to be won showcased the group’s products and promoted brand awareness (a pool maintenance kit donated by partner Bayrol and various pool and beach accessories).
  • The redirection to the Irrijardin website at the end of the game encouraged players to purchase the products they were interested in during the game, thus encouraging impulse buying.

Choosing the Wheel of Fortune

Irrijardin chose the Roue de la Fortune mechanism for the following reasons:

  • The dynamism and speed of the game meant that players could win immediately or retry their luck every day. This concept encourages player involvement and drastically increases the participation rate.
  • The colorful design and flashback to childhood of the Wheel of Fortune was a real plus for Irrijardin.

Promoting the campaign

Irrijardin chose to communicate its game on all its social networks to stimulate recruitment on Facebook and player involvement. The game was also featured in a banner on the home page of the group’s website, helping to drive traffic to the various pages of the website.

Results

  • Nearly 12,000 participants over the entire operation, for a total of around 63,200 entries
  • 14% of participants signed up for the Irrijardin newsletter, and 12% for the partner newsletter (Bayrol), a partner who was delighted with the operation!
